The singing reality TV show, Indian Idol 12 has been entertaining the audience for a long time now. Only recently, the six finalists of the show were announced. The channel made the mega announcement but shared no hints about who will emerge as the winner. The finalists of the season are Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Nihal Tauro, Mohd Danish, Shanmukhapriya and Sayli Kamble. A few days before the winner of the show is announced, Indian Idol 12 director confirmed the show will have a 12-hour finale.
Speaking with Indian Express, director Neeraj Sharma shared that the team is looking forward to creating history. He revealed that the makers always had ‘big plans' for the finale. He said, “If there was no pandemic, we would have hosted the finale in a big stadium, and we are confident it would have been a sold-out show. This season has been loved so much and given it’s the last episode, we wanted to do something really special, and thus the 12-hour episode came in place.”
The director revealed that they will be shooting for some performances beforehand. He mentioned that the team pre-record chunks for the long episode, while the winner will be announced live at midnight. He added, “It’s a mammoth task and hence we will be shooting for some performances beforehand. Also, there are going to be a lot of surprises and guest appearances which will make the episode a thoroughly entertaining one.”
Meanwhile, as per reports, judge Neha Kakkar will not make an appearance in the finale episode of Indian Idol 12. Taking her place will be her sister, singer Sonu Kakkar. The finale episode will be aired on Independence Day. As per reports, the team of film Shershaah team is expected to make an appearance.
